Move… and
be moved.

Ma’agal: the next step in Israeli dance education.

Israeli dance education has the power to move people (of literally any age!) to be raucously excited about Jewish life and culture. In this moment of so many seeking community and connection without divisiveness, and learning and growth without political pummeling, Israeli dance is a welcoming, joyful, no-experience-necessary pathway in.

In the words of our students…

Rachel F, adult learner

“Israeli dance class with Erica is a fast-paced blend of historical context, accessible instruction, fascinating anecdotes, joyful collaboration, and witty asides.”

Kyra S, Cornerstone Fellow

“[As part of the Cornerstone Fellowship] I got the chance to dance with and learn from one of the country’s preeminent Israeli dance specialists, Erica Goldman. Participating in her educational specialty track helped me to break out of my comfort zone, taking on my feelings of nervousness and uncertainty head-on. I learned tons of new dances to bring back to camp, how to teach them to beginners, and even had the opportunity to practice teaching and leading dances in front of my peers.”

Other Jewish camp staff members

“Dancing is such an energizing unifying activity. Erica always teaches large groups with poise and grace.”

“Erica made me feel so incredibly confident in my Israeli Dance skills, ability to teach and hold people's attention, and did a phenomenal job of explaining the history behind folk dance, why we dance the way that we do, and the history of Israeli Dance in general.”
